Sea Gypsy Online was created in May 2005. All started by an idea to learn about online Ecommerce business.
Having always had an interest in the ancient world of Egypt it seemed as good an idea to start there as anywhere else and it was different to what a lot of others were doing.
Sea Gypsy Online was born and continued to build a great relationship with many Australian customers as well as suppliers within Egypt.
It was from the original supplier in 2005 that offered me the opportunity to travel to Cairo, Egypt.
I had never been overseas before, I have always said we live in such a wonderful and beautiful country I had not felt the need to travel.
With such a generous opportunity and thinking I really should take it and meet with the Egyptian people and their culture with so much history and mystique, especially if I was to be offering their Handcrafted items in Australia.
The offer from my first supplier was just to good to refuse to come to Egypt and see it for myself.
August 2005 was when I travelled to Cairo Egypt, quite a long haul from Australia, 24 hours flying time alone.

On return from Egypt in 2005, I opened a small Showroom
This Showroom premises was for customers to see the beauty and quality of what we could supply, it was situated within the Redland Shire, approximately 40 minutes SE of Brisbane CBD on the shores of Moreton Bay.
Eventually, due to a number of influences, I ended up closing the showroom. This was most unfortunate but the best-laid plans do not always work as expected.
Update;
I moved away from Qld in 2011 and I am now located in South Australia just for general information. Life moves forward always and our directions can change if we allow it to happen. It is called living our dreams.
My Motto for Sea Gypsy Online is to please the customer and no job is too small or large.
All jewellery is made to order and are secure shipped to your door. There are many Egyptian items other than gold and silver that can be ordered according to taste, so if you have anything special in mind please just ask.
